Importance of Continuing Education for Healthcare Professionals

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”

-John Quincy Adams

GiaCare is committed to remaining a leader in the Government Contracting sector.  We motivate and support our healthcare workers to grow their medical careers, by ensuring we always budget for continuing education. Optimizing your continuing education credits can be an excellent way to open more doors for specialization and growth in your career.

Continuing education unit requirements for healthcare workers vary by specialty and certification.  However, each state varies by law, specifically regarding nursing minimum continuing education requirements.  The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) sets the standards for nursing board certification and is recognized by all state boards of nursing. ANCC-approved courses increase earning potential, while also making healthcare providers the latest technology to provide patients optimal care.

WHere and when to take your continuing education courses are up to you. Some providers even plan for a getaway around their continuing education, with courses available online and near resorts the choice is yours. Ensuring you are organized and plan adequately is essential to ensuring your career growth and maintaining your licensure. Using a continuing education tracker can be extremely helpful to ensure your patients and career are your focus, and requirements come second.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your continuing education requirements call your state ANCC or find an accredited organization or program.
